I didn’t take many custom orders over the summer…just a few selectively here and there when I had a little extra time. With my girls home all day, I didn’t have much extra time at all, but I did manage to find a little time to redo this very used, but cute cedar chest for a nice gal I met:
I think she had the chest for many years and used it well and planned to use it for many more years.
She has a definite vision for what she wanted and chose all the colors herself. She also asked if I would use a dry brush technique to allow for the paint to achieve a layered look.
I think she did a very nice job at choosing what she wanted done to this piece.
I struggled to visualize it like she had described it so when it was finished, I was pleasantly surprised at how very cute it come out.
I love when a good plan comes together.
What a difference a little paint can make
